		<abstract>Information related to the geographical space are necessary for activities linked to engineering, due to interference on performance and general costs of a construction, as well as the environmental aspects associated to evaluation of geological hazards. The knowledge of soil and its characteristics may influence the choice of a type of foundation or other decisions need to be taken in accordance to the land use and occupation. Thus, the conduction of a spatial analysis on a Geographic Information System (GIS) that integrates subsoils information and problems generated by land use can contribute to the reduction of constructions costs, environmental impacts and project risks. This articles presents and conceptual modelling of spatial data, emphasizing the description of the class diagram, using the OMT-G Model, which provides primary information to model the geometry and to provide representations of objects and spatial relationships. Although it is very complex to geotechnical reality and to shape it through geometric concepts, the quality of transposing real-world entities into a high level of abstraction for a computerized database will ensure the efficiency of the implementation of these entities in a SIG. This work proposed a conceptual modeling of spatial data, emphasizing only the description of the class diagram. It is therefore necessary to define the transformation and presentation diagrams in order to allow an adequate structuring of the geotechnical database.</abstract>
